Founded in 2016 by Stefan Westergård in southern Sweden, Freedesk was the first to create a portable sit-stand desk – changing how we work from home.
Driven by the belief that good design should be simple, functional, and durable, we make our desks in Sweden from FSC-certified wood. No complicated mechanisms, no plastic excess, no unnecessary extras. Just thoughtfully chosen materials, silent functionality – and movement with purpose.
Since then, our ambition has been clear: we want to lead the way towards a more balanced working life – where home and work coexist with ease.
Through products that combine sleek Scandinavian design, intuitive functionality, and local manufacturing, we strive to make hybrid work both more beautiful and more sustainable.

We are a small company based in Malmö. All products are designed in Sweden and carefully manufactured in Europe. Our sales primarily take place through our own online store, which allows us to stay in close contact with our customers and ensure high quality at every stage.
